About Creating Alerts
By enfeedia.com.
Rather than needing to remember to check back to a website to hunt down newly posted items, why not set up an alert? With an alert, you can be notified whenever a new item is posted without having to even open the website. And not miss out on news.
It's easy. Just click the Create an Alert link. You will be taken to a Yahoo page where, with a few clicks, you can set up the alert. You can even choose to have an alert sent to your cell phone. If you are not already signed into your Yahoo account, you will be asked to do so.
Return to this web page by repeatedly using your browser "back" or "return" button.
Alternatively, you can go directly to http://alerts.yahoo.com/ and click the "Feed/Blog" link to set up alerts. If you do it this way, you will need to enter the address for the feed for which you want the alert. You
can get the address for any feed by clicking the orange RSS button for the feed; the address will appear in your browser address bar.
If you do not already have a Yahoo account, you will be given the opportunity to do so prior to setting up your first alert. It's also easy. If you want to set up your Yahoo account before clicking the Create an Alert link, go to the Yahoo sign-up
page and follow their instrucitons. You will specify a Yahoo ID, password, and email address. You will be asked to verify your email address as is commonly the case when setting up new accounts.
