Membership selection considerations...

COMMUNICATOR

The Communicator membership is ideal for applications where a one or two news feed meet your needs. Simple to use, yet effective, and eliminates the hassle and guilty feelings of blasting out email. Be recognized as an educator or subject matter authority, not a spammer. And add "search engine value" to your website.

The dual news feeds of the Communicator membership can be useful to present two related streams of news items but serving different purposes. For example, for clubs and associations, use one for meeting notifications and minutes, and the second one for organizational events or special announcements. Or company product announcements and industry news and events. Real estate listings and market conditions. Investment advisories and stock market reports.

PUBLISHER and PUBLISHER-PRO

The Publisher and Publisher-Pro memberships suppress NewsPage sidebar presentation of advertisements and provide for a serious level of communication, in the number and length of feeds as well as the number of contributing reporters.

With Publisher-Pro, you can offer Members-Only articles for distributing information privately using passwords; the perfect feature for a for-fee newsletter or private club or association communications. You can insert "Pay by PayPal" links into your news item to support purchases directly from your news feed. This membership also adds the Snippets feature that offers a whole new dimension of cross-promotion among collaborating accounts.

Consider Publisher and Publisher-Pro memberships for larger organizations where responsibilities for communication are distributed to specialists throughout the organization.

Be an Enfeediac with an ENTERPRISE membership!

Finally, step up to the Enterprise membership to gain truly powerful promotional advantages for your organization. Pricey? Think again. As Enfeedia memberships increase and therefore the number of published feeds increase, so do the number of back-links to Enfeedia's home page — where your organizational listing of website and news feeds is presented — including links. As Enfeedia gains search engine value, so do the links to your website and feeds. Not to mention the additional visits you can receive because of the visitors coming to Enfeedia driven by internet searches.

Lock in your Enterprise membership and pricing now; because of space limitations on the home page, Enterprise memberships will eventually be closed.

Select a membership that best suits your application. For more information about Enfeedia features, click "Features" in the menu bar above.

†2 - The "sidebar" is a column on the NewsPage used for ads or an alternate news feed. "Ads" includes Google ads at Enfeedia's discretion. "Alt Feed" refers to the ability to display a second news feed on your NewsPage in the sidebar, in place of the ads, to enhance your message making your "mini webpage" more valuable. As an Enterprise member, you can also opt for your own Google ads using the Google Adsense program..

†3 - When a news item is added to a feed that already has the maximum number of items allowed for that membership level, the oldest news item is automatically deleted.

†4 - Maximum length of each news feed item (description field), in characters.

†5 - The number of Ping subscribers indicates the maximum number of email addresses that can be registered to receive ping alert email from all feeds within your account. Whenever you post an item on a feed, an alert email ("ping") is issued to all email addresses registered to receive alerts for that feed.

†6 - "Reporters" and "Editors" are additional persons that you authorize to add news items to your news feeds. An Editor can edit any news item in a feed, whereas a Reporter can edit only those items (s)he posted using a PIN. The account owner creates Editor and Reporter passwords for access permission.

†7 - The "Freelance" feature provides the ability for an account owner to grant to another person access privilege to a specific item on the account owner's feed. The freelance writer can edit that item, but cannot originate or delete the item. A freelance writer can choose to have his/her own account and automatically log items ("Autologging") that are posted onto that freelance item on a feed in another account onto a feed (s)he designates as a "log feed" , perhaps in his/her account. The log feed accumulates all postings on that particular item in the other feed. In other words, whenever the freelance writer edits that item on the other account, the same item gets posted on the log feed.

†8 - The "Headline" feature provides the ability, when posting an item onto any feed, to automatically post the title (headline) of that item as an item onto a feed designated by the account owner as the headline feed in that account. The headline is a link back to the full item being posted on the other feed. One can use a headline feed as a "most recent postings" listing which links the user to the full items on other feeds in that account.

†9 - WIth Members-Only items, you can control access to news item descriptions, to your "members" by special password. This feature combines public access to standard news item descriptions and private access to the members-only news item description. Within a feed marked "Members Only", public vs private access can be controlled on an item by item basis. Because links in private items cannot be seen by the public, private items can give members access to private online documents while maintaing the privacy of those documents. Keep in mind that privacy is a relative thing because a member could give a non-member the password. No online security measures are any good if a peson privileged with access codes gives those codes away.

†10 - A "Snippets" webpage is the equivalent of a NewsPage but with the ability to display up to 16 feeds from your account and other accounts for which you have permission. Perfect for related organizations to combine news feeds for improved impact and cross-promotion.

†11 - "Private Snippets" webpages are the same as Snippets webpages except the contents can be kept private through password protection. A special Privacy Password is given by the owner of a Private Snippets webpage to grant access to the webpage. Perfect for interdepartmental or project management communications within medium to large size companies.

†12 - You can place YOUR Google ads, using Google's AdSense program, on your Snippets webpage. First, publish your Snippets webpage. Then sign up with Google, copy the code they provide you, and supply it to us at "Publish Snippets".

†13 - The "Enfeediarium" is a highly valuable listing of website links and feed links on the Enfeedia home page. Valuable because every news item from every member feed, when presented on a NewsPage and a member's website using the NewsOnSite feature, and when shown by other news readers, includes a link to the Enfeedia home page. Search engines see that link and assign higher importance to the Enfeedia home page improving search results listing positions. NOTE: The number of Enfeediarium entries will be limited because of space limitations on the home page. Once you sign up for "Enterprise", your price is fixed for as long as you maintain this membership level regardless of possible price increases over time. Sign up now to secure your placement in the Enfeediarium and to lock in your price.

†14 - Need a higher cap on the number of ping subscribers? The sky's the limit. Contact us about custom programs.

†15 - Allows you to specify that a number of items from the feed can be randomly selected for display on a website page. The randomly selected items are presented in the same order they would appear had this random selection feature not been used. Whenever the page is opened, a new random selection is made such that the viewer and search engine spider sees fresh content with virtually every visit to the page.

†16 - Allows readers of a feed to post comments for items, on an item by item basis. Comments are for an item are displayed by clicking the "FeedBack" link that appears at the beginning of the item description for feeds enabled for FeedBack. The account name for the person posting a comment is presented immediately preceding the comment, with the account name being a text link that links to the poster's account directory where all feeds for the poster are listed with buttons for accessing them, for syndicating them and for setting up ping alert email. The owner of the feed has the privilege of removing offensive comments in several degrees, ranging from removing the offensive comment to blocking the poster from ever again posting comments on feeds in this account.
