FeedBack ( 0) 5 Tips to Owning Your Market
Plumas County-based agent Carol Murray, who was recently featured on the Better Homes and Gardens Mason-McDuffie Monday Morning Radio Show, shared with listeners her five-point plan for building business. Carol, who has been an agent in the Plumas County area since 2003, devised her business plan by incorporating much of what she learned about marketing during her previous career as a director of marketing for a large healthcare company. Customer service is the paramount component, and she combines the following five strategies to grow her business and create an exemplary service experience for all of her clients:
Create an enormous Internet presence: Carol has developed twelve micro-sites feeding web traffic to her main site, continuously blogs, and accumulates testimonials all of which assists her in having a strong Internet presence.
Prepare top-notch listing presentations: Listing presentations are an agent's opportunity to shine and differentiate their services from their competition. It is of utmost importance to research and provide the most recent comparable sales data, marketing plan, and articles that can assist the seller on trends and tips regarding the home and other important relevant information.
Build lifelong relationships with buyers: Establishing a rapport with buyers is integral to building a strong foundation on which to grow your relationship. Carol does this by taking her buyers around the area, showcasing the attractions sometimes even before showing them a home. Getting to know your buyers during this tour helps build that rapport. Carol is proactive at continuing a relationship with her buyers after the purchase transaction is completed. It is not unusual for her to spend time with former clients, whether it's an occasional dinner or a community event function, as well as assisting them with resources after the sale.
Make accurate assessments of your clients' needs: Be sure to thoroughly understand your clients needs and only show them homes that fall into their price range and include their list of basic amenities or features.
Build referrals by providing excellent customer service: Agents who take the time to get to know their clients, meet their needs by providing exceptional service, and continuing solid relationships with clients are all key to receiving abundant referrals.
