Plumas County Attractions in May and June!
FeedBack ( 0) You may be looking for a quick weekend get-a-way before summer swings into full force. Plumas County is experiencing amazing, warm mountain weather which has brought on many exciting events for the next few months!
May 25: Come on down to the Graeagle Shop Hop for Memorial Day Weekend! Pick up your passport at any downtown shop in Graeagle, get it stamped throughout the day at each shop, and be entered to win some amazing prizes! This is a great time to visit the new shops in town including Buckaroo Chocolates!
June 1: The annual Plumas County Picnic is held at The Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. This picnic offers many food vendors, 4H Showmanship Day, car show, and special this year, a swap meet! The Sierra Cascade Street Rodders are offering Monster Truck Rides, a Nascar exhibit, and also showing off their own beautiful cars! This is a great family event that begins at 9:00 am. End the day of fun by attending the American Valley Speedway's big race at 7:00pm!
June 30: Summerfest Benefit Event for White Sulphur Springs Ranch presents you with a great opportunity for fun and to give back to the community as they work to preserve the cultural heritage of Mohawk Valley. This event begins at 3:00 pm with a tour of White Sulphur Springs Ranch, a ranch style barbecue dinner, and entertainment with Juni Fisher and Dave Stamey. There will also be a no host bar and live and silent auctions. Bring your lawn chair and support the reopening of the historic White Sulphur Springs Ranch! Tickets are $40 and are available by calling (530) 836-2334.
