Real Estate Market Still on the Raise!
The first quarter of this year is the strongest one for home sales in five years. Existing home sales increased by 3.4% in April from the prior month, according to the National of Realtors. More young people are leaving their parents' homes, 2.2 million jobs have been created this year, housing affordability is high and mortgage-interest is reaching record-low rates with a fixed-interest available at 3.79%. According to Lawrence Yun, the National Association of Realtors Chief Economist, home sales are incresing because of "Historically high housing affordability conditions, ongoing job creation, a solid stock market recovery, rising rents, a larger pool of qualified renters, a pent-up demand and improving confidence are drawing buyers to the market".
These good economic conditions are encouraging the recovery of the housing market. Because home prices are starting to rise, it is an historical opportunity for homebuyers and investors to buy a home in our lovely Santa Fe.
