 The weather looks great, so lets ride!

The weather at start will be in the 50's and we should see the mid 70's around mid day.
Thursday Feb 2nd Globe /Superior / Florence Loop 180 miles round trip Meet at the LA Hacienda and kick stands up at 9:30am Stops Kearney, Lunch in Superior and Florence for fuel if needed
Back to the Ranch around 3:00PM

Apache Leap Festival

We met up with two other riders at Florence Junction and then onto the Apache Leap Festival in Superior where we lunched at Porters. The Festival was fun and the food and service at Porters was, as usual, good. We then continued to the gun show in Globe. It was small but interesting. We did take route 77 back. On the WEEKENDS, both lanes are open. There is a short construction span where the road consists of torn up chunky asphalt. I wouldn't recommend this route on week days when construction is taking place. Fun day for a short notice ride. Ride Safe Ernie Wolf

Thursday Ride

Yes! A bunch showed up for the Thursday ride on 6/3/16. A bunch is described as two or more bikes and at least three riders. Anyway, The two bikes (Harley and BMW) left the Bistro at 8:00 am. We first went to Florence where we ate breakfast. The food was good, and we soon took off for Winkelman via Superior. It was HOT. Highway 60 incidentally was closed west bound at Superior with a detour on 177.
The scenery was wonderful, and about 11:00 am, we arrived at Winkelman for cool drinks, and fuel for the Harley. I topped the tank off and parked the Harley in the sweltering sun. About 15 minutes later, we decided to move out. The BMW fired up immediately, and the Harley…well, um … no such luck. It just cranked over but no ignition. Himmmmm. My passenger did the appropriate move and went to the air conditioned store. Luckily, the roof over the gas pumps provided shade, so thats where the Harley went. After a considerable wait, the engine cooled enough to the touch, Another attempt to start the ole HD proved successful. Ran great after that. Vapor lock??? It was the first time I ever experienced that type of problem.
We returned back ti the Ranch a bit wiser after the 150 mile trip. Hey, you know, it’s the journey 🏍

Porters Cafe, Superior

Our next ride is to Porters Cafe in Superior on Sunday. Another scenic ride, and of course food. It's about 74 miles from the Ranch we're meeting at 10:15 at the Bistro.

Tortilla Flats Ride

 May 8 Ride to Tortilla Flats
May 8 was another great ride to Tortilla Flats and Canyon Lake. Eleven club members went on the ride. The weather was perfect and the scenery was superb mountain vistas and canyons. If you haven’t seen the copper mine at Kearny you owe it to yourself to go. The winding roads and the beautiful scenery makes this a perfect motorcycle riding place.
The next ride will be to Tombstone on May 12. We’re looking to include more people on this scenic across southern Arizona to a real wild west town.

Seventy four riders showed up in the parking lot for the ride to Tombstone on Thursday, May 12. Needleless to say we were overcome by the huge number. Then we saw that seventy two were there for the golf tournament leaving only two for the Tombstone ride. Seeing there was only two and knowing the temperature was going to go into the mid 90’s, we decided to go to the casino in Globe instead. It was a good ride with good conversation over breakfast and we beat most of the heat. Steve L
