Telluride, CO. (Jan. 15, 2009) - Telluride Ski Resort's amazing terrain and amenities is about to get a much welcomed addition! Skiers and snowboarders who like to ride jumps, rails and superpipes will now be able to night ride in Telluride. The lighted adventure park will open Jan.16 at 5pm, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration. With the addition of the new park comes big news - from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday, jibbers and park riders can enjoy the illuminated park well into the evening.
"We are truly excited to now offer our guests a superior terrain park with superpipe," said Dave Riley, CEO of the resort. "The kids will love riding at night as well, just above Heritage Plaza in Mountain Village - this is a great addition to our resort."
Formerly known as "Competition Hill", and with continued snowmaking and a natural snow base, the park is primed for inaugural day. Race Hill Lift (Lift 2) will serve the area at night and the Village Express (Lift 4) can be utilized to access the area during daytime operational hours.
Final construction of other jumps and rails will be completed within the week. The Hoot Brown Park (advanced) and Ute Park (beginner) are now open. A wonderful venue for recreational racing, the Nastar Course has been relocated to Bumpy Butterfly, located under Village Express (Lift 4), and is open daily.
To ride the new adventure park at night, costs are as follows; $25 per night, $150 for night season pass with current daytime season pass, and a separate pass for night park usage is $200. Tickets and passes can be purchased at the Mountain Village ticket office and are on sale now!

Telluride will be the home of international snowboarding competition in the U.S. as the 2010 Visa U.S. Snowboardcross Cup hits the Rocky Mountains. Telluride is the sole U.S. stop of the LG FIS Snowboard World Cup and will feature an SBX and PGS competition during what will be the second in a series of five Olympic qualification events for the two sports.

Telluride Ski Resort Change of Hours of Operation

TELLURIDE SKI RESORT SHIFTS OPERATING HOURS WITH DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Resort will operate 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily starting March 8
Telluride, CO (March 4, 2009) - As Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, the Telluride Ski Resort is "springing forward" with another hour of afternoon skiing. Lift operations will now begin at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m., rather than 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
"In response to feedback from our skiers and boarders, and to take advantage of the optimal ski and sun hours, the resort will follow the Daylight Saving shift," said Dave Riley, CEO of Telluride Ski & Golf. "Local kids will be especially grateful, as they can ski after the school bell rings at 3:15pm."
All lift operating hours will shift an hour forward, opening at 10 a.m.
Gondolas and Chondola 7 a.m.- midnight (for foot passengers)
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (for skier access)
Lifts 4, 7, 10 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Lifts 5, 6, 8 and 9 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Lifts 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 10:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Hike-to terrain cutoff times will also shift to an hour later as conditions allow.
Ticket offices and windows will open and close an hour later, with the Mountain Village Ticket Office open from 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Resort restaurants will open at regularly scheduled hours, except the upper mountain Giuseppe's, High Camp and Alpino Vino shifting 30 minutes later, and the Gorrono Saloon staying open until 5:30 p.m. to serve the later beach crowds.
Daycare and private ski school lessons will shift an hour later. Adult group lessons will still run from 11:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., and Children's group lessons will offer an extra hour, running from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Ski & Snowboard School will also be offering a Spring Special 1-hour private lesson from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. for $125. The Mountain Tour will depart at 10:20 a.m., Snowshoe Tours will depart at 10 a.m., Slopeside Lockers will operate from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., the ski valet will operate until 5 p.m., and the Guest Service Center will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
