| What's a news feed? It's a powerful yet simple way to put your message "out there" for others without sending them email. And in a way that makes it easy for them to learn what's new without meandering through your website. In fact, it's not even necessary to have a website to publish and to reap
benefits from news feeds. Your audience can even receive a signal that alerts them when you post something new—even by email-capable cell phone if they choose.
It's fast and easy! If you know how to write and send email, now you can publish your own news feed — using Enfeedia. We show you everything you need to know, and we do all the behind-the-scenes work so you can be publishing your messages in minutes.
What do we mean "news"? A news item is any message or article you want. It includes a headline and a body, and one or more links to more in-depth information or a webpage if you choose. You can even link a small photo into your news item.
How does it work? News feeds are just small files encoded with your news items that can link to a webpage or full-length article. Just as website designs conform to certain standards so everyone can view them using browsers, so do news feeds so everybody can read them using "news readers". RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
technology makes this all possible. With Enfeedia, there's no need to learn more about the inner workings of RSS news feeds, but an intro to "news readers" is helpful:
Display your news on your website. The most recent Enfeedia news feed items are automatically inserted into the panel directly below using our NewsOnSite feature. Similarly, you can have your news feed items—one or many—inserted on your website. And in a way that search engines see your news
feed content.
Your own webpage generated for you. Also, you can have a stand-alone NewsPage that lists many or all of your items. So you don't even need a website to have presence on the internet. |

Why you need your own news feed. |
| |
|
If you have a following or audience—or want to have one—relating to your business, organization, or simply your personal endeavors, a news feed is just the ticket. You post your messages whenever you want, and your audience reads them at their convenience. They can choose to be notified when you post a new message without you doing a thing. See About
Feeds for more.

Choose to use your news -- or lose. |
| |
|
By publishing your messages, you establish yourself as an authority on your topic. Others will seek you out when they need your services or products. And news feeds are excellent for maintaining customer loyalty. So you reduce your customer acquisition and retention costs. If you're simply communicating to an organization to keep them current, a news feed is simpler than email and more valued by your email-bombarded
audience!

No list to maintain will keep you sane. |
| |
|
If you've ever tried to maintain an email list, and if you've ever had to suffer all those "undeliverable mail" messsages, then you will appreciate this: By publishing a news feed, you no longer need to send your audience email and therefore don't need to maintain an email list. |

You'll be the rage with your own news page. |
| |
|
When you publish your news feed with Enfeedia, we create a NewsPage for you so your audience doesn't even have to know anything about news feeds—and you don't even need a website.Your news page is automatically kept current
as you publish new items. Imagine the benefit of including a link to your NewsPage in your email signature.
Also, with a one-time addition to your web site of a small "code snippet" that we provide, you can display all or part of your feed directly on your site*—without tinkering with your site at all; we call this feature NewsOnSite™. We display our own news feed below using NewsOnSite. See Stylize and Promote
Feeds for instructions.
